“The biggest problem with communication is the illusion that it has taken place.”

George Bernard Shaw

Change doesn’t start in an Agile 'daily stand-up’ or release planning meeting. A product isn’t born on the conveyor belt at the factory. And a new way of working doesn’t really begin when it’s designed by your HR team.

They all come alive only the moment you communicate them to your intended audience. And whether they succeed or fall flat on their faces depends partly on how good your communication strategy is, how well-chosen your channels, how well-thought, well-written, and accessible the actual message, and… a few other ‘magic’ ingredients.

A follower of Sally Hogshead’s principle that ‘Different is better than better’, I’m the magician who sprinkles fairy dust on dry subjects and the fairy godmother helping leaders sparkle at the ball!

And communication is important to my other specialities - disability and accessibility. I’ve helped corporate clients and individual managers to support employees, to create accessible content and recruit inclusively, and I teach Accessible Communications at the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC), where you can find me listed as a supplier.

I highly recommend signing up for Diana’s ‘Accessible Communications’ course. Interesting, engaging and very useful!
